5. Abstract: One of the most profound consequences of the topological states of matter is the bulk-boundary correspondence. The purpose of this talk is twofold: First, I first give a simple argument (without serious math of topology) how the bulk-boundary correspondence arises from the chiral symmetry. Second, I demonstrate the roles of the chiral symmetry and bulk-boundary correspondence in quantum computing and quantum simulation, taking a few examples from single circuit quantum electrodynamics (circuit-QED) systems to Λ-matter.
